How we work
Everything starts with a nice cup of coffee..
We can do this face to face, over the phone or via Skype or Line, depending where in the world you are based. During this initial consultation we listen to you and your requirements to understand what you are really looking for. You can also ask us questions and we will share our own experience of buying a property in Spain.
Once we understand your criteria and have a clear picture of your dream property, we will perform an exhaustive search in our partners’ database and will send you a tailor made selection of properties that we believe best match your requirements.
Once you have seen some properties you like, you can visit Valencia where we will meet you and show you around the city and your selected properties. As the property world is a dynamic place and properties can sell fast, we will keep adding interesting propositions to the list until you find your dream home.
Reserve a property
Once you decide to go ahead with your chosen property you will reserve it by paying a reservation fee of around EUR2,500 (it can vary depending on the property price) and will sign a preliminary contract called “Contrato de Arras”.
NIE and a Bank Account
In order to buy a property in Spain you will need to have a Spanish Social Security number “N.I.E.” (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) and a Spanish bank account. We will explain everything in detail and will assist you with every step during the process.
After signing the preliminary contract you will have one month to organise your finances until the day of signing the contract with a Spanish Notary.
Although in Spain is not a common practice to consult a Lawyer for a property purchase, we would highly recommend it for your peace of mind and can put you in contact with Solicitors that speak your native language.
